PUBLIO MURATORE
IL DISEGNO E L'ARTISTA
Gallese (Italie) – 2018
The exhibition relocated to the artist’s home village, Gallese, in May 2018. In a small room annexed to the Marco Scacchi municipal museum, a spiraling arrangement guides the visitor along a journey through three of the sections of the Viterbo exhibition, with an unpublished section, Publio e Gallese, which contextualizes the exhibition by presenting works related to his village: from the first paintings made when he was young to the preparatory drawings for frescoes in two churches in his village, up to the more recent production. Evoking the link between Muratore and his origins and bringing together works from the most varied periods of his production, this section allows us to have a look at the different phases – technical and aesthetic – which characterise his work.
